Did you know that keeping your car clean can significantly help preserve its overall value?
“Simply cleaning your vehicle not only fosters a sense of pride and accomplishment, but it also protects your valuable vehicle investment,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “It’s a task that takes very little money or effort, but has huge returns.”
The Car Care Council offers these tips to keep your automobile in tip-top shape:

  • Polish your vehicle once every six months and wash it once a week. This prevents chemical build-up that can harm the finish.
  • While cleaning, check for dents, dings, scratches and cracked glass. It’s important to address such blemishes, as they can become more costly repairs down the line.
  • Be sure to use only professional products sold for cleaning cars. These formulas work to clean, while also ensuring the paint finish remains intact.
